The Monkey and the Crocodile Story with Moral

The Monkey and the Crocodile Story with Moral

Once upon a time, there was a monkey who lived in a tree near a river. One day, he saw a crocodile who was feeling sad. The monkey asked the crocodile what was wrong, and the crocodile explained that he had lost his teeth and could no longer eat properly. The monkey sympathized with the crocodile and offered to help him.

The monkey then went to gather some fruits and brought them to the crocodile. The crocodile was very grateful and asked the monkey how he could repay him. The monkey jokingly replied that he would like to ride on the crocodile's back across the river. The crocodile agreed, and the monkey climbed onto his back.

As they were crossing the river, the monkey noticed that the water was very deep and that the crocodile was swimming much faster than he had expected. He became scared and asked the crocodile to let him go. The crocodile refused and explained that he wanted to eat the monkey for helping him.

The monkey quickly thought of a solution and told the crocodile that if he tried to eat him, the other animals would hear his cries and come to his rescue. The crocodile became frightened and released the monkey, who quickly climbed back to safety on the tree.

Moral of the story:

"Wit is mightier than brute strength".
